Project Description

The Terminal 2 project at SFO was a $383 million overhaul project that updated the outdated 1954 vintage building. Terminal 2 featured a state-of-the-art lounge, art exhibits, kids play areas and hydration stations. It also represented a new experience for travelers and cemented SFO’s reputation as the major gateway

Project Challenges:

The Terminal 2 project saw success despite a compressed and difficult schedule with a goal to deliver a world-class facility on time and on-budget. The team had to work around existing Air Traffic Control Tower operations, existing tenants, passenger movements, traffic, Medical clinic operations, a road strengthening condition change, and new tenant build-outs during base building construction. The team accomplished its goals without any claims, or incidents, and was it on-time and on-budget.
